Clove For Skin

IMG_20140926_141440

A little clove goes a long way in food, but you can use lots of it on your skin.
Clove buds contain clove oil, with antibacterial, anti-septic and anti-viral properties to help kill nasty things on the surface of your skin. Eugenol, a compound found in clove, has properties that can help with cystic acne by fighting infection-causing bacteria.
Clove can be applied to skin for help with irritation like fungal infections, athlete’s foot, rashes or insect bites. It is also believed to help relieve stress and headaches, plus it’s crazy high in antioxidants!

Clove can be a gentle exfoliant too, just mix ground clove with coconut oil or other non-comedogenic oil (agave works too!).
You can leave this on for a few minutes to let the benefits soak in, and remove with a gentle cleanser if needed.
If you are using clove oil, it is a concentrated form and can cause some irritation if used excessively.

We’ve got real ground clove in 3 new products online, Pumpkin Spice Bath Salts, Apple Cinnamon Lip Scrub, and Sweet Spice Sugar Scrub
